Description

Sealed bids addressed to the Jefferson County Water Control & Improvement District #10 (JCWCID10) will be received for furnishing necessary materials, equipment, superintendence and labor for the construction of Jefferson County WCID#10, Water Distribution System Improvements Project - 600,000-gallon GST, 400,000-gallon EST, & 250,000-gallon GST Rehabilitation Project, generally described as the repainting and rehabilitation of the existing 600,000-gallon ground water storage tank, 400,000-gallon elevated water storage tank, and 250,000-gallon elevated water storage tank including interior and exterior blasting, painting, shrouding, and structural repairs. The right is reserved by the Jefferson County WCID#10, as its interest may require, to accept or reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in the bids received. Complete sets of Bidding Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; neither Owner nor Engineer assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work and do not confer a license or grant for any other purpose. Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to Jefferson County WCID#10; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids may be held by the Jefferson County WCID#10 for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds.
