Description

Formal bids must be returned by the vendor to the City Clerk's Office by the time and date specified. The bids are publicly opened and each is read aloud. After bid opening, all bids are tabulated and evaluated. When the bid analysis is completed, a recommendation is submitted to City Council. Council votes to approve or reject the recommended bid. Bidder may not be more than sixty (60) days past due on any debt to the City, including but not limited to: water bills, licenses, permits or fees, or more than ninety (90) days past due on property taxes. The successful bidder shall warrant and agree that he/she is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Should complaints of any form of discrimination, either in dispensation of the service, or within company hiring policies be substantiated, this contract may be terminated immediately. All structures are located within the city limits of Beaumont. 2.2 The Contractor shall make every effort possible to secure demolition site in residential neighborhood. 2.3 It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to provide security of any and all equipment or material left on the construction site at any time during this contract. 2.4 The Contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all utilities are disconnected. This includes calling 811 before you dig to determine location of any underground utilities. A list of these companies follows: o Entergy Electric Company o Centerpoint Energy o City of Beaumont - Water Utilities o AT&T o Spectrum The above is provided for informational purposes only. The Contractor is responsible for notifying all utility companies. o liquidated damages in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each structure, per day.
