Description | As of May 8, 2023. The project has been awarded to HVH Mechanical however, no awarded amount has been determined at this time. The Georgia World Congress Center Authority ("Authority") will receive responses from firms specializing in air handling unit replacement. The Authority retains the right to reject any or all submittals, and to waive technicalities, irregularities, and informalities, or cancel this procurement at any time. IMPORTANT- A RESTRICTION OF COMMUNICATION IS IN EFFECT FOR THIS PROJECT. From the time of advertisement of this solicitation until final award is made, interested firms are not allowed or permitted to communicate about this solicitation or scope with any staff or any official representatives of the Authority, GWCC, or other facilities of the Authority, or their consultants, except for submission of questions as instructed in the RFP, or as provided by any existing work agreement(s). Finalists and Apparent Awardee(s) are restricted from making public statements or press releases about their selection as finalists or their apparent award. For violation of this restriction, the Authority reserves the right to reject the submittal of the offending respondent. The term of any construction contract resulting from this proposal will be 30 weeks after contract is executed. Completion shall be by TBD; time being of the essence. To be given consideration these questions shall be submitted to the Authority by no later than April 6, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. The total project budget, including design services and construction, has been set at $1,400,000. The intent of this project is to provide the Owner a proposal for the Replacement Air Handling Unit. The Contractor is to provide to the Owner, as a minimum, all drawings, depictions, equipment, labor, materials and such other appurtenances as are required. Completion- 30 weeks The work includes all material and labor required for the replacement of three AHUs, 1S4, 2S2, and 3S2, in like-forlike fashion plus the addition of a heating coil and required hot water piping to the 2S2 replacement unit. (Two units, 1S4 and 3S2, currently have heating coils.) The failed AHUs are 40 years old and past their useful life. The scope of the work is as listed below. Proposing firms should review this list thoroughly and identify any additional work required to provide fully operational equipment. o Provide labor and materials to LOTO (Lock out Tag out) AHU electrical service. o Provide labor and materials to demolish chilled water and hot water piping. o Provide labor and materials to disconnect controls and ductwork. o Provide labor and materials to demolish and remove AHUs down from platform. o Provide labor and materials to install three new Thybar (basis-of-design) replacement AHUs. Equipment from other manufacturers will be considered, however documentation confirming that such equipment is equal to or better than the basis-of-design must be submitted for review. o Provide labor and materials to connect existing electrical service to new AHUs. o Provide labor and materials to connect existing supply and return duct to the new AHUs. o Provide labor and materials to pipe in chilled and hot water piping. o Provide labor and materials to install new digital controls to integrate into our BAS (Building Automation System) including wiring, graphics. o Provide labor and materials to cap off existing pneumatic lines and other utility connections serving existing pneumatic controls removed as a part of the project. o Provide documentation of sequence of operation. o Provide labor and materials to leak check piping. o Provide labor and materials to insulate piping and ductwork. o Provide labor to start up and verify operation, including test and balance. o Provide manufacturer's standard warranty for labor, materials, and equipment. |
