HOME provides formula grants to states and Participating Jurisdictions (local governments) to use in partnership with local nonprofit organizations, owners, sponsors, and/or developers to fund a wide range of allowable activities located at 24 CFR Part 92. The City of Port Huron seeks proposals from qualified and capable Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs), to develop affordable housing by: acquiring and rehabilitating 1127 Minnie Street, Port Huron, Ml 48060. The home must be sold to an income eligible homebuyer that will own and occupy the assisted property. The homebuyer must qualify for the Urban Pioneer Program (down payment assistance offered by the city). The property is currently owned by the Port Huron Neighborhood Housing Corporation and will be sold to the chosen CHDO for $58,676.58.
