GAOA South Mineral Creek Road Resurfacing

Project is to provide aggregate and reconstruct 4.4 miles of the South Mineral Road (NFSR 585). Work includes reshaping the roadbed by reestablishing ditches and pulling the road with back in to a standard 22' width by cutting the shoulders and adding acceptable material to the existing surface. The new surface will be constructed with a crown of no less than 4%. Additional work will include cleaning lead-out ditches, cutting the washboards, filling potholes and covering large rocks. Once the approved roadbed is prepared, commercially purchased aggregate consisting of CDOT class 6 1"-minus roadbase material with a PI between 2-9 shall be hauled, placed and compacted using layer placement method 204.11(a)(1) to a 4" depth and a 22' width. The South Mineral Road will remain open to public traffic during this contract. Flaggers will be required at all times to manage and control traffic.
