Description

Notice TextThe project consists of construction of a 2-million-gallon ground water storage tank at the existing Mitchell Tanks site, including foundation design and construction, site piping, altitude valve vault upgrades, and electrical improvements with a backup generator. The project also includes piping modifications at the existing Pioneer Reservoir. Bidders are required to provide Bid security in the `form of a Bid Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid Price or certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit equal to ten percent of the bid amount to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into a contract, if awarded the project. Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the bid and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. Submit your offer on the Bid Form provided within these Bid Documents. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, ancestry, or age. This procurement is subject to the EPA policy of encouraging the participation of small business in rural areas (SBRAs). The Project is being funded with monies made available by the CLEAN WATER OR DRINKING WATER STATE REVOLVING FUND and such law contains provisions commonly known as "Use of American Iron and Steel;" that requires all of the iron and steel products used in the project be produced in the United States. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project shall to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required. Attention of bidders is called to the requirements of the City of Zanesville's income tax [Codified Ordinances of the City of Zanesville, Ohio, Chapter 181]. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Muskingum County as determined by the Davis-Bacon Federal Wage Determinations. Your offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission. In the event that the Owner is unable to obtain an Agreement with the Bidder initially selected, the Owner may award the contract to the next bid, most favorable to the Owner. The right is reserved by the Owner to reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in bids received and to accept any bid which is deemed to be the lowest and best bid.
