Striping and Waxing Service

The floor care services will include floor stripping, waxing and buffing to the VCT floors. After a floor is stripped and cleaned, apply four coats of industrial grade wax to seal, give luster and maintain the cleanliness of the floor surfaces. Because of the type of building and the tenants, this work can only be done during the weekend, Sat/Sun. Strip, Wax and Buff all hard floors The contractor shall strip all waxable floors with a commercial stripping agent to remove all old sealer, wax, dirt, stains, etc. Baseboards, corners, and wall/floor edges shall also be clean. All wax-buff solutions shall be removed from baseboards, furniture, trash receptacles, etc. Chairs, trash receptacles, and other moveable items shall be moved to maintain floors underneath these items. All moved items shall be returned to their original and proper position. The wax used shall be compatible with the floor surface. After waxing and buffing, the entire floor shall have a uniform glossy appearance and shall have a uniform coating of floor finish. Floor shall be buffed to a clean streak and spot free shine. Scope of Work: 1. Sweep and dust mop floor. 2. Remove gum, sticky substances, dirt, grime, scuff mark and other contaminants that dull floors and scratch finishes. 3. Use a stripper solution per label directions to strip the floors of wax buildup and dirt. 4. Use a neutralizing solution in a second mop wringer and bucket set. 5. Place wet floor signs around the perimeter of the area. 6. Let solution settle for label recommended amount of time. 7. Wet vacuum stripper and slurry solution from floor. 8. Use a neutralizing solution, rinse floor, including cleaning baseboards, with the final rinse. 9. Properly dispose of any dirt, soiling, solutions. 10. Apply a high-quality grade wax to seal finish to the floor.
