Wallington Pumping Station Rehabilitation Project

Work to be performed under Contract No. B103 includes furnishing all labor, materials, supplies, equipment and other facilities required by the Contract Documents for the modernization and rehabilitation of the PVSC Wallington Pumping Station. Work includes, but not limited to the replacement of the aging vertical long-shaft driven suction lift pumps with new suction lift pumps having long-coupled 150 HP motors; replacement of the load resister banks with VFDs; replacing the electrical equipment; installation of new control panels and instruments for the building and pumping station; constructing a rock/gravel trap for their removal on the 54" influent sewer; installing comminutors, and reconditioning the existing wet-well. Additional work includes bringing the building into compliance with current codes; reconfiguration of the interior spaces of the building by replacing and relocating the existing generator and electrical equipment, demolishing unused interior spaces to allow for the construction of a break room, new restrooms and locker room with shower; construction of a new SCADA control, reconstructing the main entrance stairs, construction of an access ramp, replacing the exterior windows and doors, replacing the interior doors, re-roofing the building, repairing the building parapets, repointing the brick, and waterproofing the building.
