Description | Project Description: As part of planned water system improvements at Camp Williams, an additional 1 million gallon (MG)drinking water reservoir is needed to provide sufficient volume capacity to allow for the decommissioning of the existing 300,000 gallon steel culinary water reservoir (aka Upper Tank). Located 2/3 mile west of Redwood Road along Beef Hollow Road, this new 1MG reservoir will be a sister tank to the existing 1MG reservoir constructed in 2012. The design incorporates improvements suggested by personnel familiar with the operation of the water system and refined best practices. The additional storage will accommodate growth of Camp Williams, make more water available for wildfire fighting, and achieve water resilience for culinary needs. Inlet and outlet waterlines of the existing 300,000 gallon steel reservoir will be capped and abandoned as part of the construction project and the tank will also be abandoned. DFCM is entering into a Multi-Step Bidding Process for Construction Services. A short-listing of Contractors will be based on the evaluation of proposals submitted and the selection criteria outlined in the solicitation documents contained herein.
