Stemple Parking Lot Rehabilitation / Reed Turner Parking Lot Improvement

The Stemple Parking Lot is located southeast of the intersection of Old McHenry Road and Robert Parker Coffin Road, in Long Grove’s downtown business district. This project includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: full-depth asphalt removal (estimated at 5”), aggregate subgrade improvements, repaving with Hot-Mix Asphalt Binder and Surface courses, thermoplastic striping. This project will include a base bid and one alternate. The alternate bid includes modifying the parking lot geometry with additional concrete curb and gutter, lighting and conduit installation, landscaping, and associated work. The Reed Turner Parking Lot improvement project will be a separate bid in this package The work is described as follows: aggregate subgrade improvements / supplement existing aggregate, paving with Hot-Mix Asphalt Binder and Surface courses, pavement markings, and underdrain improvements. Please note that for this project, no crushed limestone will be allowed due to the close vicinity of mature Oak trees. The Reed Turner Parking lot is located at 3849 Old McHenry Road at the Long Grove Park District in Long Grove, Lake County, Illinois. This project includes aggregate subgrade improvement, Hot-Mix Asphalt Binder and Surface courses, thermoplastic striping, pipe underdrains, and associated improvements.
