Deep Dewatering Pump Station

The Work under this Contract includes the construction of the 3RPORT Deep Dewatering Pump Station (DDPS), including outfitting and installing equipment within shafts excavated by others, above grade structures, gravity sewers, and appurtenances. The DDPS will utilize two vertical, below-grade shafts to serve as the Pump Station Shaft and Upflow Shaft. The initial excavation and concrete lining of these shafts and connecting tunnel will be performed by others outside this Contract as part of the 3RPORT Tunnel and Shafts Package. Descriptions and depictions of the shafts, tunnel, and conditions at the DDPS site within these Contract Documents are based on the anticipated status at turnover following the 3RPORT Tunnel and Shafts Package; actual conditions and arrangement of these aspects of the Work may vary depending on the final construction of the 3RPORT Tunnel and Shafts Package. The Contract consists of, but is not limited to, the following major components: 1. Installation and construction of the equipment, systems, and structure within and above the Pump Station Shaft, including the Deep Dewatering Pump Station Building located (Pre-engineered Metal Building) above the Pump Station Shaft. 2. Installation and construction of the equipment, systems, and structure within the Upflow Shaft (referred to as the Working Shaft in the 3RPORT Tunnel and Shafts Package), including the Screenings and Grit Handling Enclosure (Pre-engineered Metal Building) located above the Upflow Shaft. 3. Installation and construction of Siphon Conduits, Flap Gate Structure, Siphon Conduit Structure, and all appurtenances. 4. DDPS discharge piping.
