Contract No. 2 - Collection System

The Work shall be performed under a single contract, and shall include, but is not limited to, the following: Collection System - the installation, testing, and restoration of approximately 2,550 feet of 6" HDPE low pressure sewer main, 1,800 feet of 4" HDPE low pressure sewer main, 10,250 feet of 3" low pressure sewer main, 7,600 feet of 2" HDPE low pressure sewer main, 760 feet of 12" SDR-35 PVC gravity sewer main, three underground utility crossings under the NYS highways installed by horizontal directional drilling method and totaling 250 feet in length, 1 interconnection to an existing 6" HDPE force main, 36 valves & valve boxes, 5 air release stations, 32 clean-outs and 197 sewer services each with a semi-positive displacement grinder pump unit (grinder pump unit to be provided by Owner) and service lines; including related mechanical joint adapters, fittings, bedding and backfill materials, restoration, and all other necessary and required appurtenances, as indicated on the Contract Drawings, and as further described in the Technical Specifications. All BIDS being mailed (including FedEx, UPS, Priority Mail, etc.) or hand-delivered to the Town of Yorkshire shall be directed to Donna Lavery, Town Clerk at the address listed above in a sealed envelope. The envelope shall be clearly marked on the outside "Town of Yorkshire, CWSRF No. C9-6613-01-00, WQIP Contract No. C01643GG Contract No. 2 - Collection System." Failure to follow the above instructions could result in rejection of the proposal. The Town of Yorkshire, in order to promote its established Affirmative Action Plan, invites sealed bids from NYS Certified MBE/WBE Contractors. This Affirmative Action Policy regarding sealed bids and contracts applies to all persons without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, or handicap. This project has goals for MBE/WBE project participation. The project goal is 20% combined M/WBE participation. The bidder acknowledges to and for the benefit of the Town of Yorkshire (Owner) and the State of New York (the State) that it understands the goods and services under this project are being funded with monies made available by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund that have statutory requirements commonly known as "American Iron and Steel;" that requires all of the iron and steel products used in this project to be produced in the United States ("American Iron and Steel Requirement") including iron and steel products provided by the Bidder pursuant to this Agreement. All of the iron and steel products used in the project will be and/or have been produced in the United States in a manner that complies with the American Iron and Steel Requirement, unless a waiver of that requirement is approved.
