Description | Work consist of Remove existing roof membrane and replace with new tapered insulation and epdm roof membrane. Contract term: 180 days All Request For Information (RFIs) are due by: 10:00AM on Thursday, April 6, 2023. RFIs received after this due date and time will not be processed. Pursuant to Public Building Law 8(6), any contracts over $5,000 for the work of construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, or improvement of any State building, a responsible and reliable NYS-certified Minority or Women-Owned Business Enterprise that submits a bid within ten percent of the lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder provided that the bid is $1,491,110 or less (maximum amount has been adjusted for inflation effective January 1, 2023). If more than one responsible and reliable MWBE firm meets the requirements, the MWBE firm with lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder. Contractor is responsible for reviewing all the drawings and specifications to obtain a complete understanding of the entire work scope. The work includes all work indicated on the project documents, including but not limited to: 1. Furnish all labor, equipment, materials, tools, means, methods, and incidentals necessary to complete the work as required by the contract documents for this construction contract. 2. Remove the existing roof membrane, insulation, and cover boards down to the existing wood deck. 3. Remove existing skylights, mechanical units, gutters, and other roof mounted appurtenances where required. 4. Remove the entire roof and structure of the tower high roof. 5. New TPO roofing, insulation, and cover board. 6. New plywood decking where existing is in unacceptable condition. New fasteners of decking to wood roof joists. Possible replacement of wood roof joists, dependent on revealed conditions. 7. New tower high roof structure. 8. New skylights. New roof hatch. 9. Infill select roof openings. 10. Extension of roof curbs where required. 11. New gutters and connection to existing downspouts. 12. Cleaning of existing roof drainage and piping. 13. Masonry repairs, including: repointing, cleaning, brick replacement, facade reinforcement, and stone resetting. 14. Construction fencing and other security measures. 15. Temporary facilities and controls. 16. Project closeout submittals. 17. All other requirements shown on the plans or included in the specifications. |
