Description: Calumet County Salt Storage Building Construction Located west of the Chilton Highway Facility For Calumet County 241 E. Chestnut St. Chilton WI 53014 For the construction of a new Salt Storage Building at our Highway Facility. Most advantageous includes a comparison of ability of the various bidders to perform. The decision of the Calumet County Highway Department to accept or reject bids shall be final, and cannot be questioned except on a showing of fraud. The work under this item shall consist of construction of a Wheeler Salt Storage Building in accordance with the bid plans. The building shall be weather tight and suitable for the storage of salt and other materials used for roadway abrasives. The building shall be rectangular with walls supported with external bracing to withstand lateral load of internal material piles. The building will also have a gable roof. The 4,000-ton facility will be able to hold salt along with two lean-tos one of which will be cold storage and the other will be for salt brine production and storage. The contractor will be responsible for the following: The contractor shall coordinate delivery of Wheeler building materials with the County and Wheeler representatives. Contractor will be responsible for unloading all materials upon delivery
