Iron Castings

The IRON CASTINGS to be furnished are: a. EJ 1207, EJ 3771/Neenah R-1556, R-1556A - Sanitary manhole frame and cover. Cover is to have 1 ¾" raised lettering with "Bethlehem Sewer District" on its non-skid design. Cover is to have two penetrating pick holes approximately 1 ½" wide x 2" long. Cover shall have a minimum weight of 120 pounds and measure 25 ¾" in diameter. b. EJ 1203/Neenah R-2559 - Catch basin frame and grate. Concave grate is to be "bicycle safe" with openings no larger than 4 ¾" x 1 ½". Grate shall have a minimum weight of 120 pounds and measure 25 ¾" in diameter. c. EJ 1203/Neenah R-1559 - Storm manhole frame and cover. Cover is to have two penetrating pick holes approximately 1 ½” wide by 2” long and be of non-skid design. Cover shall have a minimum weight of 120 pounds and measure 25 ¾” in diameter. d. EJ 5426, EJ 5050/Neenah R-3562 - Catch Basin frame and grate. Flat grate is to be "bicycle safe" with openings no larger than 4 ¾" x 1 ½". Grate shall have a minimum weight of 120 pounds and measure 26" square. e. EJ 3024 - Sanitary / Storm manhole frame assembly. The frame assembly shall consist of 2 pieces – lower guide frame and upper frame. The adjustable frame shall be able to match the contour of the road and have a minimum of 4 inches of height change between the lowest and highest setting.
