Description

The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or successfully complete, a bridge, highway, or project specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: Maine Federal Aid Project No. 2506100 WIN 025061.00 Location: In Kennebec County, Interstate 95 Northbound/ County Road (Bridge Number 5816), Interstate 95 Northbound/ Messalonskee Stream (Bridge Number 5817), and Interstate 95 Northbound/ Main Street (Bridge Number 5818) projects begin approximately 0.75 of a mile northerly of Oakland town line and extending easterly approximately 0.75 of a mile in the city of Waterville. In Kennebec and Somerset County, C.A. Clouson Northbound (Bridge Number 6000) is located approximately 0.2 of a mile easterly of US Route 201. In Kennebec County, Interstate 95 Northbound/ River Road (Bridge Number 5993) project is located approximately 0.5 of a mile easterly of Fairfield town line. Scope of Work: Interstate 95 Northbound bridge preservation projects plus other incidental work. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder.
