Description

The City of Quincy's MR 677 Project consists resurfacing 30 alleys and 1 street, 1 PCC alley, and storm sewer improvements at various locations in the City of Quincy. Work includes an estimated 3759 tons of hot-mix-asphalt, 440 square yards of PCC driveway pavement, 590 sq yds of PCC pavement, 191 feet of storm sewers, and related improvements. All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid on the "Proposal Bid" form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. The City of Quincy is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative Action Employer and encourages minority group participation in the bidding and construction process. Bidders are notified that not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of shall be paid to all workers performing work under this contract. Proposed Improvement Milling & HMA resurfacing of alleys, replacing concrete approaches, installing storm sewers, PCC Pavement, related improvements. Sub-contractors are not required to be pre-qualified.
