Baughman Watershed Improvement Project

A timeline for award has not yet been established.**  The following legal notice is for the construction of 3 wetland detention basins located in Section 18 of Bath Township and Section 13 of American Township, Allen County Ohio. The total project area encompasses approximately 22.5 acres. Work items include but are not limited to; 197,419 CY of excavation to be exported; 107,120 SY of hydroseeding; Concrete Outlet structures with associated HDPE pipes ranging in size from 18" to 42"; Erosion Control Matting; Various other work items as noted in the plans and bid documents. Engineers Estimate: $3,482,656.50 No oral interpretation shall be made to any bidder as to the meaning of any of the Contract Documents, or be effective to modify any of the Contract Documents. Request for an interpretation shall be made through Quest CDN or in writing and addressed to the Allen County Engineer, 1501 N. Sugar St., Lima, Ohio 45801-3136 or by email to the Drainage Engineering Department, ndavis@allencountyohio.com or jgearing@allencountyohio.com. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Allen County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations Said bids shall be accompanied with a bid bond or certified check on a solvent bank in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will sign the contract for the performance of the work, and for furnishing the material bid upon, and will furnish such bond to the Board of Allen County Commissioners for the performance of the contract signed as may be required by law. Bidder is responsible for all fees associated for submitting a bid on the project. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
