| Description | Install James River Visitor Center Well Head Protection - Blue Ridge Parkway: 1. Removing the existing wellhead slab in the parking island. Replace the slab with a footer, a new concrete block structure, and a new stainless-steel hinged entry hatch. The structure will be hidden from view by the addition of native plants. 2. In the VC plumbing closet, the existing plumbing/piping, pressure tanks, pressure switches, meters, valves, and appurtenances will be replaced. 3. Removal and replacement of existing plumbing fixtures and valves. During this process the contractor shall replace tiles and patch the existing walls damaged during the plumbing r replacement process. 4. Removal and replacement of the exterior drinking fountain if funding is sufficient. |
