Description | For the Contract No. 2 Lagoon Upgrades (CWSRF Project No. CS010359-04/EDA Investment No. 04-01-07357) Project. The Project is generally described as follows: Upgrades to the City's existing 1.4 MGD wastewater treatment lagoons, including new aeration equipment, a packaged lift station, a floating baffle system, chlorine and sulfur dioxide gas equipment housed within a fiberglass reinforced building enclosure, site improvements including piping, electrical improvements, and all appurtenances necessary to provide a complete and functional system. This project (EDA Investment No. 04-01-07357) will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program. The Owner requires the Project to be completed in two hundred fifty (250) calendar days from date of Notice to Proceed. Should artifacts or archaeological features be encountered during project activities, work shall cease, and the State Historic Preservation Officer shall be consulted immediately. Artifacts are objects made, used, or modified by humans. They include but are not excluded to arrowheads, broken pieces of pottery or glass, stone implements, metal fasteners or tools, etc. Archaeological features are stains in the soil that indicate disturbance by human activity. Some examples are post holes, building foundations, trash pits and even human burials. Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond or cashier's check in the amount of a sum no less than five (5) percent of the Bid Price but not more than $10,000.00. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids. |
