Description | The Project includes the following Work: Construction of a new 350 gpm pump station to replace the existing Rizer Avenue Pump Station. Work includes two (2) 15 hp submersible pumps, precast wet well, precast valve vault, gravity sewer to new wet well, tie-in to existing force main, and demolition of the existing wet well and pump housing. This project is expected to be funded in part with funds provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Utilities Service (RUS). Refer to Article 18 of the General Conditions for information on the federal requirements. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies, Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies to American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron and steel: lines or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. The de minimis and minor components waiver, pig iron and nuts and bolts all apply to this contract. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and services as indicated in accordance with provisions of Contract Documents. 2. It is the intent of the Contract Documents to describe a functionally complete project. Furnish and install all supplementary or miscellaneous items, appurtenances, and devices incidental to or necessary for a sound, secure, complete, and functional installation New (replacement) sanitary sewer pump station and appurtenances. |
