Agganis Square Roundabout -Reconstruction

The work under this Contract consists of transportation improvements as follows: Reconstruction at the intersection of Federal Street / Marion Street / Waterhill Street known as Agganis Square. Proposed improvements at Agganis Square include construction of a single lane roundabout, geometric revisions, pavement rehabilitation, sidewalk improvements, landscaping and street lights. Reconstruction at the intersection of Boston Street / Robinson Street / Marion Street / Kirtland Street. Proposed improvements include pavement mill and overlay, sidewalk / wheelchair ramp reconstruction, installation of pullboxes and conduit for a future traffic signal and minor landscaping. The work described above includes unclassified excavation, pavement micromilling, full depth hot mix asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalk, concrete wheelchair ramps, hot mix asphalt overlay, drainage modifications, granite curb, roundabout construction, pavement markings, signs, traffic signal system, landscaping, lighting and other incidental work. The work includes two (2) Bid Alternatives for additional drainage system replacement and additional roadway micro mill and resurfacing.
