Description

Center Street Stream Restoration Project – Phase 2 consists of the installation of rip rap armor, two retaining walls, and one prefabricated pedestrian bridge along the banks of an existing stream channel designated as “Tributary 18604 of Shamokin Creek” due to frequent damage caused by high-flow events. Portions of the channel are to be regraded at 2H:1V side slopes, and rip rap is to be installed at all areas not currently stabilized by existing retaining walls. The Township has secured multiple easements from neighboring property owners to allow construction access to the stream from two adjacent roadways.
