Description

The School Board of Volusia County Florida is hereby requesting qualifications for construction management services for Ortona and Osceola Elementary, Master Plan, Project No. 2047702. The estimated construction cost is 24,000,000. The scope of services may include, but not be limited to, pre-construction services, construction estimating, value engineering, bid preparation, construction management, generation and update of project schedules, cost control and progress reports. Project Locations: Ortona Elementary, 1265 North Gradview Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32118 Osceola Elementary, 100 Osceola Avenue, Ormond Beach, FL 32176 The Ortona and Osceola Elementary Master Plan is the consolidation of two beachside schools on the Ortona campus. Both are 1950-60 era schools. The new K-5 school is anticipated at approximately 750 student stations. Ortona Elementary is a 200 student K-5 school located on an 11 acre parcel, with approximately 42,000 square feet of permanent buildings, in Daytona Beach. Many of the buildings are functionally obsolete with exterior walls, doors and windows contributing to moisture intrusion issues. The selected Firm will provide construction management services for the selective demolition, renovation and construction of new buildings on this campus. Osceola Elementary is a 400 student K-5 school located on a 13 acre parcel, with approximately 60,000 square feet in 13 buildings, located in Ormond Beach. The selected Firm may be required to provide infrastructure for portable buildings as determined during Project planning.
