Professional Engineering Services Sewer Improvements

To assist in the design and construction of water and sewer improvements. In addition to the EDA grant, project design and construction financing will also utilize a $1,000,000 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Economic Development (CDBG-ED), Rural Economic Devevelopment Division, NC Department of Commerce awarded to the Town of Four Oaks, and a $500,000 Golden LEAF awarded to Johnston County. Water improvements will be owned operated and maintained by Johnston County, with sewer improvements owned operated and maintained by the Town of Four Oaks. Town of Four Oaks` sewer improvements consist of the following project: approximately 2,500 LF 8" PVC SDR-35 gravity sewer line (from project site and downstream to pump station); pump station with estimated Duplex submersible pumps, permanent standby power generator and alarm dialer; approximately 5,000 LF 6" PVC C-900 forcemain; 700 LF 8" PVC gravity sewer to connect forcemain discharge to Town`s existing gravity system; ten 4` manholes; 3 air release valves; and two 6" and one 8" bore and jack (I-95 and 2 on NC 96).
