Laguna Creek and Whitehouse Creek Multi-Functional Corridor Project - WDR018 - City of Elk Grove

This project will consist of three phases of construction of a 2.2 mile reach along Laguna and Whitehouse Creeks. Phase I will construct a maintenance access road (paved with no striping) for access to Laguna and Whitehouse Creeks. Phase II will transition the maintenance access road to a Class 1 multi-use trail. Phase III will preserve, rehabilitate and enhance the creeks and adjacent wetlands.The project is east of State Route 99, along Laguna Creek to Camden Lake and along Whitehouse Creek from Laguna Creek north to East Stockton Blvd. As of August 2023, the project is currently in the FY 2021-2026 CIP. The project is in the right-of-way acquisition. The project is expected to bid in the spring of 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
