Description | Counties : Dist/st-wide Road Name: Districtwide Wildflower Installation - Routine Maintenance Limits: Midpoint Project(S): 45108817201(*) Federal Aid No: N/a Total Roadway Length: 0.000 Miles Contract Days: 365 Total Bridge Length: 0.000 Miles Total Proposal Length: 0.000 Miles Contract Execution Days: 10 Special Start Date: N/a Aquis/flexible Start Time: Electronic bids are requested for a Business Development Initiative (BDI), Budgetary Ceiling contract to provide labor,equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals required to prepare, plant, and maintain various wildflower areas throughout Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. Wildflower seed will be provided by the Department and maps will accompany the Work Document issued. Sample work locations are included in Appendix A. The specific composition of herbicides and fertilizers referenced within the Contract Documents are to be determined by the Contractor based on industry best practices and are subject to review by the Department. The summary of pay items for this project is listed in the Bid Price Proposal. The quantities shown on the Bid Price Proposal are approximate and only represent estimated planned requirements based on historical or specific project needs. The Department does not guarantee any maximum or minimum quantity, any range of quantities, or the exact quantities shown for each item to be bid. The Department's estimated quantities and the Contractors' bid price will be used to calculate a total bid amount. This total bid amount will then be used to determine the low bidder; however, actual payment under the awarded contract will based on actual quantities completed. For this Contract in which specific site are not identified at the time of letting, the Engineer will issue a Work Document. Work Documents will identify the location, description, amount of work to accomplished, and the number calendar days to complete the work. Bidders must be a Small Business as defined by FDOT. Small business size standards can be found online For more information about bidding on BDI projects, please see the training guide Prequalification per Rule 14-22 is not required. Bidders must complete and submit the Small Business Affidavit (Form No. 275-000-01) for approval prior to receipt of bid documents. It is only necessary to submit the Small Business Affidavit (SBA) form once per year. Send a completed and notarized affidavit as an attachment to: SmallBusiness@dot.state.fl.us All Sublet work must be contracted to a small business or businesses as defined by the Department. The subcontractor must also submit a notarized Small Business Affidavit Form provided by the Department prior to the start of work.
