2022 Bituminous Paving Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Scratch/Leveling Course, PG 64S-22, 0.0 to 0.3 million ESAL's, 9.5 MM Mix, SRL-L, 60 LB/SY Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course, PG 64S-22, 0.0 to 0.3 million ESAL's, 9.5 MM Mix, SRL-L, 180 LB/SY, 1.5" Depth LF of 4" Double Yellow Center Line with Glass Beads. The bids will be presented to the Polk Township Board of Supervisors at the regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 8 a.m. with the intent to Award. All materials and workmanship must meet the requirements and standards of PennDOT Publication 408 - Specifications, and bidders must be PennDOT prequalified. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Polk Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract. All work must be completed by October 1, 2022, for the Bituminous Paving (Road Bid) contracts; liquidated damages will apply at the rate of $975.00 per day for each day beyond these dates that the work remains incomplete.
