Electrical Substation Modifications and Various Construction Services

1) Property Line improvement. a. Concrete retaining wall. The approximate location of retaining wall is shown in Figure-2. 2) Modification and repair of existing concrete structure. a. Repair spalling in accordance with the recommendations of Attachment “Big Coppitt Inspection Report”. b. Close in windows with solid wall. c. Create large entry way for switchgear entry. Final entry shall be a doorway functional for future use. d. Level Floors to specifications as needed for switchgear system. e. Paint and touch-up. 3) Building Upgrades. a. Upgrade lighting to LED for both AC and DC lighting. b. Add air conditioner on opposite side of existing external wall mounted AC. c. Climate control enhancement. d. Removal of all existing DC outlets. e. Installation of new electrical 120VAC outlets. 4) Removal of existing switchgear, breakers, bus and associated equipment and hardware related to the 13.8kV distribution bus. a. Remove vertical lift breakers. b. Remove protective equipment. c. Remove switchgear and cabinets. d. Clean out trenches of unused cabling and wire. 5) Install new switchgear, breakers, bus and associated equipment and hardware related to 13.8kV distribution bus. a. Install switchgear and cabinets. b. Install protective equipment. c. Run cabling and wiring. d. Insert new breakers 6) Removal and installation of new substation batteries and charger 7) Decommission existing substation capacitor banks and cage. Install a new capacitor bank in existing location. a. Remove chain link fence cage enclosing existing capacitor bank b. Remove all the existing capacitor bank in its entirety (capacitors, cable runs and protection equipment). c. Installation of new capacitor bank and protection equipment. d. Pull new runs of cable by reutilizing existing conduit (assuming it fits design plan location inside the PCC).
