| Description | Wake Med Soccer Park is converting Field #8 and Field #5 from natural turf to synthetic turf. The existing conditions require a grading operation to eliminate the grade difference between the two fields. The base bid calls for approximately 150,000 sq. ft. of base preparation and associated base material for the project. The project has 3 Add Alternates: Alternate #1-Provide base preparation for synthetic turf in the triangle area on the north side of field #8. Additional fencing, curbing, retaining walls and underdrain will also be associated with this alternate. Alternate #2-Provide base preparation for the extension of the synthetic turf on the west side of field #8. Additional fencing, curbing, retaining walls and underdrains will also be associated with this alternate. Alternate #3 is the removal and replacement of the natural turf grass within the stadium field (Field #1). The underdrain system, irrigation system and the root zone will all be upgraded as part of Add Alternate #3. The existing topsoil will be store on site to be reused once the underdrain, gravel and sand have been installed with the footprint of the stadium field. | ||||||||
