Demolition and Abatement Revolutionary War Discovery Center

The City of Gaffney is accepting bids for a contractor to abate all asbestos, lead based paint, and mold. Also, they will be doing some minor demo of the interior of the structure to include removing all electrical, plumbing, mechanical, temporary walls, floor coverings, wall coverings, furniture, shrubs/trees, concrete walkway, and drop ceilings. Project Location: 210 N Limestone Street Gaffney SC 29340 The work site is located at the Former Carnegie Library (now referred to as the Revolutionary War Discovery Center) located at 210 North Limestone Street in Gaffney, South Carolina. This structure is listed in the National Historic Register as subject to all protections and restrictions. B. Contractor shall furnish all resources, to include but not limited to, materials, supplies, equipment, labor, and supervision necessary to abate hazardous building materials, conduct selective demolition, and dispose of the associated items referenced in this specification and the project drawings. The structure is a two-stories, approximately 5,600 square feet in size with a brick veneer exterior with wood trim. The structure includes a main level and a basement.
