Description | The Department of Natural Resources is seeking bids to resurface approximately 1.0 mile of the 1658 Minimum Maintenance Road, located 10 miles north of the town of McGrath in Aitkin County. Components of the project include reshape 1.0 miles of treadway, gravel hauling, spreading, compaction and grading. Install geotextile fabric in specified locations and install three culverts at specified locations. Construction of one large turn-around at a specified location. This road is primarily a logging road with some recreational use. A state-owned gravel source (Pliny Pit located at 46 19 16.8 x 93 13 39.2) has been specified to use for this contract. The geotextile fabric and culverts supplied by the DNR and transported by the contractor from the McGrath Field Station, 16082 Minnesota 65, McGrath, MN 56350 to the worksite. All questions should be directed to the buyer listed in this event. Unit price must include all costs such as labor, materials, tools, transportation, equipment, sales tax, use tax and all else necessary for completion of the project. Direct Pay Permit 1114 does not apply to this project. Responses that do not comply with the solicitation will be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected. The award will be made to the lowest responsible vendor meeting the specifications and all terms and conditions. The State reserves the right to award items separately, by grouping items, or by total, whichever is deemed most advantageous to the State. Final Completion of the work shall be on or before October 1, 2022. |
