Construction of New Outbound Scale

The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in these Specifications and shown on the Plans. The estimated item quantities are summarized as follows: APPROXIMATE ESTIMATED ITEM ______QUANTITIES________ 1. Mobilization LS 2. Hydrostatic Truck Scale, complete in-place and operational as specified, including but not limited to the removal and disposal of existing scale, concrete foundation modifications, replacement of concrete approaches, and pavement restoration. 1 UN Specifications, Reference Drawings, and forms of bid for the proposed work prepared by the Alaimo Group, Authority Engineer, have been filed in the office of said ENGINEER, at 200 High Street, Mount Holly, New Jersey may be inspected by prospective bidders during the regular business hours BID GUARANTY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and an acceptable surety company, such guarantee to be made payable to the OWNER in the amount often percent (10%) of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. CONTRACTS AND BONDS: The bidder to whom award is made shall, within ten (10) days of his notice of award, execute the Contract Documents and furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to the full amount of the Contract. The Bond must be drawn by an acceptable surety company as described in Paragraph 4, above, and be in the form of a combination Performance and two (2) year Maintenance Bond in the full amount of the contract, and must be executed on the forms provided in these documents. The (2) year maintenance period shall begin on the date of the acceptance of the work by the OWNER. This contract is subject to the New Jersey State Department of Labor and Industry prevailing wage rates. Prevailing minimum wage rates are appended to this contract. BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FROM BIDDERS WHO ARE ON THE "DEBARRED LIST OF THE NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND INDUSTRY. CALENDAR DAYS TO COMPLETE: Three Hundred Ninety (390) LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: $1,500.00
