Description | The rehabilitation of the existing airfield signage design for Runway 10R-28L, associating taxiways and connectors. Schedule A shall also include the installment of noise abatement signs throughout the airport and a supplemental wind cone for 10R-28L. Currently, there are five vehicle roadways and Taxiway intersections that are not properly signed. In accordance with the AC 150/5340-18, the proper vehicle highway sign shall be installed. Another component of the project involves installing electrical upgrades. New Junction Can Plazas shall replace the existing 4’x4’ cast iron manholes and 2’x2’ galvanized steel manholes. Lightning Arrestors shall be strategically placed to help protect the airfield’s system from lightning damage. Schedule B shall include the rehabilitation of the existing mandatory signage design for Runway 14-32. Lightning Arrestors shall also be incorporated into Schedule B to further help protect the airfield’s system from lightning damage. Electrical - Per L-series specifications, a new and complete LED signage system including lighted mandatory hold, guidance, and runway distance remaining signs along with a new and complete supplemental wind cone will be provided in the scope for the reconstruction project. The new LED signs and supplemental wind cone shall be within the stabilized subgrade of the shoulder and shall be constructed to interface with the existing duct system with appropriate grounding and counterpoise measures and will consist of a completely new circuit conductor in conduit. |
