Architectural And Engineering Services for Cardiac Catheterization Labs

The scope of work for this project includes general contracting services for the renovation of existing office, utility and storage areas for new use as two new Cardiac Catheterization Labs. Work for this project will also include the renovation of existing office areas for new use as Cardiac Storage; Cardiac Family Waiting; Cardiac Offices; and 10 new Cardiac pre- and post- procedure bays. This project is envisioned to occur in multiple phases to allow the unit to remain in use throughout. The project is located within the main cardiology area on Sarasota Memorial Hospital’s Main Campus (East Tower Level Two), 1700 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, Florida. Work may include, but is not limited to, pre-construction phase services such as cost estimating, value engineering, critical path method scheduling, constructability reviews and cost control. Construction work may include selective interior demolition of existing partitions, ceiling, and interior finishes Construction work may include management of owner-provided modular utility ceiling system installation, as well as management for the installation of new owner-provided medical, storage, and imaging equipment. Construction work may include the installation of new interior finishes, as well as new electrical, mechanical, medical gas, and plumbing system connections for the renovated space and new equipment.
