Talbot School Basketball Court Reconstruction and Culvert Replacement Project

Project 1: Provide materials and labor for reconstructing the basketball court at the Talbot Elementary School in Portland, Maine. Work includes complete demolition and disposal of the existing basketball court; raising the base grade by approximately 1.67 feet with owner provided base material; installation of drainage as needed under court area; lowering 1 catch basin frame and grate; site grading, loaming and seeding around the entire court to facilitate positive surface drainage and to prevent erosion; supply and install 2 Goalsetter basketball standards; pavement installation; application of Premier Sports Coatings Resurfacer; application of Premier Sports Coatings; application of all required painted lines; and complete other miscellaneous work as outlined on the approved plans and specifications. Bid alternates will include paving a small parking area, plant installations; pathway installations; step installation; granite slope reinforcement installation; and guardrail installations around the parking area. Project 2: Remove existing 15 inch culvert and replace with a new 24 inch concrete pipe/culvert, including ADS flares on both ends. Install rip rap at pipe/culvert inlet and outlet. Provide grading in compliance with the approved plans to facilitate positive surface drainage of the surrounding area.
