Description | Third Party Air-Monitoring services for Kansas City VA Medical Center in accordance with the attached SOW. 1) For all questions E-mail Teresa Cabanting at teresa.cabanting@va.gov. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Kansas City Veterans Administration Medical Center (KC VAMC), 4801 East Linwood Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64128 has a need for Third-Party Air Monitoring Quality Assurance Services for Asbestos and Lead Paint. A Licensed and Certified PRIME Contractor is required, and any Sub-Contractor shall also be Licensed and Certified, to perform Air-Monitoring quality assurance services, and Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) testing. This contract does not include any abatement tasks and there are no abatement or construction projects linked to this air monitoring requirement. The intent of this contract is to perform air monitoring of asbestos and lead in paint in various and sporadic areas of the Medical Center, at times when Patient Census is low. When ACM, or lead in paint, are discovered, the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) will communicate and coordinate scheduling for the Air-Monitoring. Requirements and Scope. The Contractor shall provide all labor and materials including tools and apparatus, equipment, supervision, certifications, licenses, permits, regulatory notifications necessary to perform Third-Party Air-Monitoring at the KC VAMC. All services shall be performed by State-Licensed Prime Contractors and SubContractors using Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-accredited, state-certified, or state-licensed workers and supervisors. Prime Contractor and Sub-contractor employee training and certifications shall be commensurate with work performed and with requirements for licensing. Copies of all Prime Contractor and Sub-contractor licenses and certifications will be provided to the KC VAC COR, prior to any work being performed. All Prime Contractor and Sub-Contractor Employee certification shall include Abatement Certification Card; Respirator Fit Test Certification; Medical Examination Results; Certificate of Workers Acknowledgement. Prime Contractor and Sub-Contractor will maintain up-to-date health and training records on all staff as required by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Prime Contractor and Sub-Contractor will provide copies of OSHA required records should they be requested by the COR. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. |
