Description

The purpose of the project is to replace the existing HVAC building controllers with new Trane – Tracer SC, or compatible for the 110th Wing, located at Battle Creek Air National Guard Base, Michigan, in order to assist the installation to meet current energy conservation policies and reduce energy consumption. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control necessary to install new Trane Tracer SCs or a compatible supported platform, in various buildings basewide. This shall include removing the existing failed Trane BCUs, installing the new supported platforms, programming the controls, providing a controls sequence, updating graphics for the Trane Management system in use on base, and start up procedures for verification that the controls work. The existing BCU has failed and results in not being able to remotely operate the HVAC equipment. The HVAC system in various buildings requires a Trane Tracer SC or compatible, to communicate to the basewide Trane Management System. The software and programming code for this is proprietary to Trane. Any other manufacturers of HVAC controls shall interface with the Trane controls system.
