Geotechnical Investigation For City Of Mission Sewer Rehabilitation Project I.H.S. Project No. AB-16-F96A. The testing firm (Contractor) with a geotechnical engineer registered in the State of South Dakota shall conduct the geotechnical investigation for 21 soil boring locations. The Contractor shall determine the proper approach and method to adequately describe the existing soil conditions and to provide design parameters for the proposed project. The Contractor’s proposed field investigation, testing, and sampling program shall be approved in writing by the Project Engineer prior to the commencement of any work. All subsurface exploration, testing, and sampling shall be conducted at the direction of an engineer experienced with soil investigations. The borings shall be drilled to a depth equal to 25 feet below the ground surface, or until bedrock is encountered, whichever is less. The Contractor shall provide sampling equipment and containers and take any and all necessary samples needed to accomplish the geotechnical investigation.
