Description | Overhead Sign Structure Gantries for Will Rogers Turnpike The awarded vendor will be required to provide overhead sign structure gantries, for tolling equipment for the Will Rogers Turnpike near Mile Post 248, Mile Post 255, Mile Post 269, Mile Post 283, Mile Post 289, Mile Post 302 and Mile Post 313. The awarded vendor will deliver the gantries and coordinate with OTA regarding the offloading (by Others), assembly (by Others) and installation of the gantries onto a reinforced concrete foundation (by Others). a. A full set of construction drawings, sealed by an Oklahoma licensed Professional Engineer, is required. Refer to Section 1.3.C for additional details. b. For alternate designs, complete structural analysis along with foundation design will be required to be completed by an Oklahoma licensed Professional Engineer. c. Inspections by OTA will be performed in accordance with Sections 720 and 852 of the ODOT 2019 Standard Specifications for Highway Construction. Inspections will include inspections at the fabrication site and at the delivery site. Gantries delivered to the site and pass final field inspection shall be accepted by the OTA. Gantries that are delivered to the site and do not pass final field inspection shall be repaired or replaced as directed by the Engineer, at no additional cost to the Authority BID BOND; there will be a required bid bond in the amount of 5% of your proposal. The bid bond is to accompany your submitted bid proposal. The bid bond may be in the form of a bond or a cashier's check. The cashiers check or bond must be payable to the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority. The bond shall be valid for a minimum of 120 days from the proposal due date. Withdrawal of the proposal without authorization or failure to successfully execute a contract within 30 days of the Notice to Proceed will result in forfeiture of the bid bond If the contractor requires additional days beyond the gantry delivery dates specified in Section 19.1.1 through Section 19.1.3 of this ITB, then the contractor will be charged liquidated damages in the amount of $500.00 per day for each day beyond the late delivery date specified in this ITB for each area. |
