Description

Contractor is to design, furnish, install and provide technical support to an initiative to modernize and replace the video production switcher, graphics and multiviewer systems at the UNLV Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies (JMS). The preferred hardware and software vendor is Ross Video however solutions from Grass Valley, ChyronHego, Imagine Communications and Sony will also be acceptable. All equipment should be capable of supporting SMPTE ST 2110 IP video and 4K Ultra-HD standards. This initiative includes the following: Replace Sony MVS 6000 (34 Input, 24 Output, 2 ME) video production switcher system set to 720P resolution with a new Ross Video Carbonite switcher (or similar system from our list of acceptable manufacturers) with a minimum of 20 inputs, 12 outputs and 2 ME. Replace existing Harris Inscriber G3 HD (Dual Channel) graphics system with a new Ross Video Xpression CG (or similar system from our list of acceptable manufacturers). System will support the MOS (Media Object Server) protocol and interface with facility Avid iNEWS NRCS.
