FAP 374 (IL Route 21) from North of Sanders Road to South of Euclid Avenue / Lake Avenue, Phase II Engineering

Phase II engineering services are required for the improvements of IL Route 21 from North of Sanders Road to South of Euclid Avenue / Lake Avenue. The Consultant’s work is expected to consist of preparing contract plans, specifications, and estimates for reconstruction of the IL Route 21. The Consultant’s work is expected to include completing and updating existing design plans that are partially complete and to finish the contract plans for letting. The Consultant’s work may include topographic survey, drainage design, traffic signal modernization, geotechnical services as well as other roadway tasks as determined by the department. The proposed improvements consist of IL Route 21 at Sanders Road and IL Route 21 at Euclid Avenue intersections improvements, reconstruction of IL Route 21 with modifications to the profile to provide a fourlane facility, two lanes in each direction separated by a 12-foot flush/striped or variable width barrier median, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm sewer, traffic signals, traffic signal interconnect.
