Parks and Recreation Master Plan Project

The City is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide professional services to prepare a Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The firm selected will develop a comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan that will guide the Department for the future development, management and operations of the City’s parks system. This consultant will coordinate public input, provide a statistically valid survey of community opinions and needs, examine existing programs, analyze data collected by City staff in a comprehensive inventory, forecast program development needs, review and recommend policies and standards, create a clear set of goals and implementation strategies, provide project oversight and document preparation. The plan should explore best practices in the field, identify new trends and opportunities, engage relevant stakeholders, and ensure an appropriate balance of community programs, facilities and amenities now and into the future.
