Description | Newcastle Public Work Authority (Owner) is accepting qualifications from contractors desiring to submit a bid as a prime contractor for the following upcoming project: Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Scope of work to be completed is the construction of a new 1.5 MGD Aeromod Wastewater Treatment Plant at a green field site 1,500' west of the intersection of N Portland Ave and NE 16 th in Newcastle. None of the existing WWTP will be utilized and this will be constructed on an entirely new site. A summary of the scope of work for the project include: 1. Headworks facility with screening, grit removal and lift station 2. 1.5 MGD Aeromod WWTP 3. 2 cell - Aerobic Sludge Digesters w/ digested sludge pump station 4. Ultraviolet Disinfection System 5. High Efficiency Blowers in building 6. Dual Rotary Press in building w/ sludge loading 7. Miscellaneous Buildings - Operations / Control / Laboratory Facility / Electrical buildings 8. Effluent Lift Station 9. Concrete lined Flow Equalization Basin w/ return Lift Station 10. Associated piping, flow measurement and miscellaneous equipment with appurtenances 11. Associated SCADA & Electrical systems with appurtenances The estimated construction cost of the project is $25,000,000. Funding for this project is provided through a Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) Loan (ORF 20-0018-CWA) from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB). As such, compliance with the Davis Bacon Act, American Iron and Steel, and Labor Standards Contract Provisions is mandatory. System for Award Management (SAM) registration is required for all contractors. Contractors desiring to submit a bid as a prime contractor for this project MUST submit their qualifications to the Owner and Engineer for approval. Contractors determined by Owner and Engineer to be qualified to perform the Work on the basis of their submitted qualifications will be notified that they have been prequalified for submitting a bid for the construction of the Project. Only prequalified bidders will be permitted to submit Bids for the construction project. Any Bids received from Bidders who were not prequalified will be returned unopened. All official notifications, question/answer, addenda, and other documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received. Only contractors previously selected as prequalified by the City of Newcastle will be allowed to bid this project.
