Description

1. Remove all existing playground equipment at the 3 play areas in the park, except the pieces described below. The playground equipment to be removed includes most of the main structure shown below, the two rockers, the see-saw, and the two swing sets (each are approximately 21 feet long). The exceptions are: A. The larger "cactus" structure should remain as is in the playground area. The footing for this structure should remain undisturbed. This structure is labeled in the picture below. B. All metal stairs and associated metal handrails should be unbolted, removed from the main structure and transported to Hoover Road Park (632 North Hoover Road) on pallets for DPR. 2. Dig up and remove all associated concrete footings of removed equipment. 3. Backfill all holes left by the concrete footings with topsoil; tamp down and smooth. Do not fill holes with the Engineered Wood Fiber (EWF) that is in the playground areas. However, the EWF can remain in the playground areas after the footings are filled with topsoil. 4. All demolished/removed material, with the exception of the pieces being transported to Hoover Road Park, shall be moved off-site to an appropriate facility.
