Description

Phase I will intercept, redirect and store runoff upstream of the intersection of BHR, 51st and Grand Avenues, and would eliminate the need for a storm drain through the intersection. Phase I will decrease runoff drainage to the intersection of Grand Avenue/BHR, which experiences hazardous driving conditions during moderate rain events and flooding in the parking lots of adjacent commercial businesses making it dangerous for employees as well as patrons of the businesses. This project will also alleviate flooding in BHR, as well as areas upstream of the Grand Avenue and BHR intersection. The proposed improvements include storm drain between Grand and Maryland Avenues on 47th Avenue and 51st Avenue.
