Rockingham County Picnic Shelter Project

Rockingham County is now accepting sealed bids for the Rockingham County Picnic Shelter Construction Project. The requirements for submitting a bid are stated in this Request for Proposal. Companies interested in submitting a proposal for providing this service may obtain detailed instructions and specifications from the Purchasing Office, Rockingham County Governmental Center, 371 NC Hwy 65, Reidsville NC 27320, 336- 342-8104. Any questions about this RFP need to be submitted no later than Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 5:00 pm to rtate@co.rockingham.nc.us. Bids should be mailed in a plain envelope, marked Rockingham County Picnic Shelter Project. Rockingham County invites and encourages participations in this procurement process by minority-owned businesses, women-owned businesses and business owned by disabled persons. Rockingham County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals submitted, to waive technicalities and informalities in bidding, and to accept a proposal other than the lowest submitted if such is in the best interest of the County. Minimum qualifications are required as specified in the RFP, but any additional information is accepted as well. Rockingham County is requesting lump sum bids for the construction of a 20' x 40' picnic shelter at the Governmental Center (371 NC Hwy 65, Reidsville NC 27320). Plans and specifications are provided in the RFP. All bidders must be licensed General Contractors for the State of North Carolina and meet the required Workers Compensation and General Liability insurance requirements of the County. This project includes but is not limited to: grading, treated wood post and beam construction, with concrete slab floor, vinyl siding work, metal roof, electrical panel, lights and fixtures.
