Description | This project consists of emergency repairs to a stormwater culvert system within the basements of #1 & #3 Arnett Avenue duplex building. The alignment of this stormwater system begins from the ditch adjacent to Diamond Silver parking lot and spans underneath the homes Along Arnett Avenue, crossing North Union Street to eventually discharging within Niece Lumber yard property. The repair involves replacing a damaged concrete arch section approximately 8’ wide x 3’ high x 18’ long, from damages incurred during Tropical Storm Ida’s flooding impacts to the City of Lambertville on August 31, 2021 which resulted in a collapsed portion of the arch structure inside the basement of the home. This work will need to be constructed either from inside the home or from access below through the culvert. There are basement windows which may also be considered to facilitate concrete transport. Access obtained through the culvert is at a pipe distance of approximately 150’ to the basement from the begin of 5’ diameter pipe found at the downstream section of ditch adjacent to the Diamond Silver parking lot. The 5’ diameter pipe transitions to a rectangular box shape and concrete arch in the area where the break occurred (basement of #1 Arnett Avenue). This area was inspected in November 2021 for the City by a closed-circuit television (CCTV) vendor with report information and supplemental videos/photos available upon request. The contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, supervision, trade skills, materials, equipment and clean up restoration required for this project as described in the Construction Documents. All private property access agreements will be obtained by the City, and work on this contract must be completed within 30 calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. |
