Description

Scope of Work: Lake Eastbrook Blvd (North of 32nd Street): This site is located approximately 8-feet north of the stormwater manhole located approximately 650 feet north of the centerline of 32nd Street. The Work involves replacing the existing 15-inch diameter storm sewer joint with Fernco joints and wrap the joints with geotextile fabric. It also includes traffic control and road restoration for a 20-ft wide opening (two interior lanes) consisting of 18-inch class II sand, 8-inch, 21AA modified aggregate base, and 3-inch HMA per the attached road cross section. The Contractor shall use MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction, as amended. Breton Avenue & Rum Creek Drive: This site is located on the west side of Breton Avenue, north of Rum Creek Drive and across Breton Avenue from the City of Kent wood DPW. The Work involves reshaping/lowering the drainage swale heading north to an existing catch basin to capture storm water runoff from the rear yards along Rum Creek Drive in order to alleviate backyard flooding. The Work will be done between the sidewalk and the residential fencing and is approximately 160 lineal feet. In addition, the Work includes installing a 4-inch sock pipe at the base of the swale and shall be backfilled with pea stone. Restoration includes over seeding exposed areas with MDOT THV seed mix, fertilizer, and erosion control blanket (single layer netting) per MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction, Sections 816 and 917, as amended. Wildflower Lane Floodway: This site is located west of the intersection of Wildflower Lane and Springmont Drive, between 2955 Wildflower Lane and 4527 Springmont Drive. The Work includes removal and lowering of the existing sidewalk, approximately 0.5-feet. It also includes sidewalk grading in each direction, approximately 15-feet, to meet ADA-required slope. Grading to the north within the platted easement to meet existing grade is also required, as well as grading in the parkway to meet the existing roadway. Restoration includes over seeding exposed areas with MDOT THV seed mix, fertilizer, and erosion control blanket (single layer netting) per MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction, Sections 816 and 917, as amended. Crippen Drain at Eastern Avenue: This site is located at the Crippen Drain crossing of Eastern Avenue, approximately 2,300 feet north of 60th Street. The Work includes removal of accumulated sediment from the twin 5-foot by 10-foot box culverts as well as the concrete on either side of the culvert. All material shall be hauled away and disposed of.
