| Description | Project consists of the construction of the Quaker Multi-Use Trail which will primarily be a 12-foot wide paved, accessible trail (transition to 10-foot wide for Bid Alternate 1 as shown in the Contract Documents). The overall trail extends from the Quaker Store to the Taft Cabin totaling 1.56 miles (including both the Base Bid and Bid Alternate No. 1 sections). The project includes construction of four pedestrian bridges (two in the Base Bid, and two in Bid Alternate No. 1) to span existing creeks and wetland areas. The bridges range in length from 40 to 80 feet and will be steel truss structures with timber decks, including concrete foundation abutments. The trail will also include an elevated timber boardwalk constructed on piers. | ||||
